"Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible."
-Maryann F. Kohl
I offer one-on-one private art lessons for ages 3 and up. My art lessons are customizable and include educational lessons and fun activities to fit your personal art goals and expectations.
My group art lessons are an extension of my individual lessons and include lessons and activities that are best suited for the age and size of the group being taught.
Some of my art lessons include a variety of age appropriate art history lessons where we learn about famous artists while exploring and creating in their art styles.
LESSONS TO YOU!
Teaching art is one of my greatest passions.
My one-on-one private art lessons are designed to fit the needs of my students and are created with their personal art goals in mind.
My private art lessons also offer a variety of learning experiences that are more flexible.
These particular lessons are activity driven and can be used to compliment an existing academic curriculum.
I enjoy spending time with my students during our one-on-one private art lessons and watching them learn and grow as artists during their own personal journey is so inspiring!
.I love seeing how my students express themselves creatively by making each lesson and project their own.
There is no tracing and nothing is pre-drawn for my students, unless it is part of a specific lesson.
While help and guidance is always available, each student is responsible for learning and applying techniques on their own.
I encourage all my students to be confident in their approach, learn how to problem solve and think outside the box to find different ways to express themselves creatively.
My art lessons are available for a variety of ages and can be customized to focus on a specific area of learning.
Most importantly, my art lessons are fun and allow my students to gain confidence while learning and expressing themselves through art!
My group lessons are an extension of my individual art lessons and are age appropriately designed to fit the needs, personal learning goals and learning styles of the students in each group.
Each lesson will begin with a brief description of the lesson and techniques being used and will end with a brief discussion about the finished products.
My students are always encouraged to make their projects their own while following the guidelines of the lesson.
My students are given the opportunity to ask questions and are encouraged to use prior knowledge of techniques learned to problem solve and create.
Teamwork, peer guidance and class discussions are always encouraged in my group art lessons.
My small group art lessons are a great way for each artist to express themselves and learn from one another during the creative process.
