Create an Original Work of Art in the Style of Famous Artists!

Art History

famous artists

My art students  will learn about famous artists and their art styles through age appropriate art lessons.

Each student will be given the opportunity to create a work of art in the style of the artist being studied and will use their own artistic license to express themselves creatively.

My art history lessons include the use of a variety of art mediums and materials to create a unique and an imaginative piece of art similar to that of famous artists.

types of lessons

My art history lessons are offered in a variety of ways and are customizable to fit any age group!

My art students intermittently learn about art history as we journey through their personal art process together during private lessons or they can sign up for a 6 week session that teaches specific lessons during a specified time frame.

Below is a sample 6 week Art History session for a specific age group.

All of my art history lessons are custom and age appropriately designed to fit the needs of the students being taught.

Thank You.

      Let's Create a Masterpiece!

Create a Replica of a Famous Painting!

"I dream my painting, then I paint my dream."

      -Vincent Van Gogh

      Creating a Replica

      it's not a copy! it's a replica!

My students will use their creative abilities along with newly learned techniques and painting styles to create a replica of a famous painting.

      How it Works

      watch and learn!

When creating a replica of a famous painting during my art history lessons, my students will be guided on a step-by-step tutorial geared towards creating a painting that highly resembles a famous work of art.

While I usually encourage my students to explore their creativity and make each piece of art their own, I take a different approach when teaching how to create a replica.

First, I teach my students the difference between creating a replica of a painting and copying someone else's work.

Next, I remind each artist that when we create a replica, the main goal is to make the final painting look like the original. And while we are all different and our interpretation and painting styles may vary, it's important that we follow in the footsteps of the artist being studied.

Creating a replica is a great way to learn about famous artists and their work while gaining appreciation for their art style and the amount of work it took to create a such a beautiful masterpiece.
